Cookie policy
This site sets one essential cookie to remember your cookie choice. Nothing else — including Google Analytics — runs unless you choose “Accept analytics” in the banner shown on your first visit; “Reject” is exactly as easy to select. You can change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Your cookie choice
A banner appears on your first visit, offering “Accept analytics” and “Reject” — the same size, the same prominence, no box pre-ticked for you. Whichever you choose is remembered for up to 180 days, and nothing non-essential runs until you’ve made that choice.
Changed your mind? Select “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and choose again — including switching from “Reject” to “Accept” or back. Withdrawing consent this way stops analytics starting on any later page you visit.
Cookies this site sets
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
tgs_consent | Remembers your “Accept analytics” or “Reject” choice, so you’re not asked again. | 180 days |
_ga | Google Analytics 4 — distinguishes visitors, so we can see how many people use the site. Set only if you choose “Accept analytics”, and only once our GA4 property is connected (it is not live at the time of writing — see the note below). | 13 months |
_ga_<container-id> |
Google Analytics 4 — remembers your session state (e.g. how many pages you’ve viewed
this visit). Same consent gate and current status as _ga above.
| 13 months |
Current status: the cookie banner and the consent gate are live today, but this website is not yet sending any data to Google Analytics — our own GA4 property hasn’t been connected yet (it currently sits with the outgoing agency). Choosing “Accept analytics” now costs you nothing extra: your preference is stored, and analytics will start respecting it automatically once our property goes live, with no repeat prompt.
We use Google’s Consent Mode, so even a “Reject” choice is recorded (as “denied”) rather than simply doing nothing — this is what lets Google Analytics tell the difference between “asked and declined” and “never asked”.
What’s still coming
We plan to add call tracking (Mediahawk) so we can understand how phone enquiries reach us. It is not built yet. When it is, it will sit behind the same banner and the same “Reject” choice as analytics — nothing will be added to the table above until it’s real.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser’s settings at any time — your browser’s help pages explain how. Disabling cookies may affect how some websites function, though this site is designed to remain usable without them.
