Dental Hygiene
A dental hygiene appointment is a professional clean and scale that removes plaque and tartar your toothbrush can’t reach, reducing the risk of gum disease and tooth decay. Most appointments take 20 to 30 minutes and finish with a polish.
What it is and who it's for
A dental hygiene appointment is a professional clean that removes plaque and tartar before they cause gum disease or decay. It suits anyone attending regular check-ups who wants to keep their teeth and gums in good condition between visits.

Assessment
Your hygienist checks your gum health and looks for any build-up of plaque or early signs of gum disease.

I visited TG’s Dental Suite to make enquiries and immediately was made to feel very welcome. I signed up for an initial consultation/ assessment. I attended for my appointment three days later and again was warmly welcomed. The Dentist was very friendly. I formed him of my anxiety being there. He was very emphatic and sensitive to me needs. I was instantly reassured. He referred me to see the Care coordinator and eventually to have an appointment with the Hygienist My appointment with The Care coordinator went very well. She was also friendly welcoming and answered all my queries with professionalism and courtesy The environment at TG’s puts you at ease I shared my concerns and when I saw the Hygienist I received excellent care. She was so understanding and helped alleviate my fears I signed up as a member
Really professional and friendly from the lovely receptionist to dentist (who I've been to for 35 years). He's very thorough and explains things well. Gentle with procedures. The hygienist did a good job today. Very nice touch and both dental nurses were quietly efficient and caring. Very happy with the care.
I recently had 2 visits within the same week, 1 for a new patient consultation, and the other for a hygienist appointment. I was seen by Noman and Harley on both appointments and had a really positive experience! Noman was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped put me at ease, as I hadn’t visited the dentist in a while and was quite nervous! You can tell he is very passionate about his job and cares for his patients! All the staff were friendly and professional, and the overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming. I will definitely be returning in 6 months time, and 100% recommend this practice to anyone looking for excellent dental care. Thank you so much, I am so pleased with the outcome and the now appearance of my teeth, you have made such a big difference! 🦷💫

EMS Airflow, for surface staining
Tea, coffee, red wine and everyday food and drink leave surface staining that a toothbrush can't shift. EMS Airflow uses a fine powder and warm water to remove it during your hygiene visit.
Emily Cave, one of our dental hygienists, is a keen advocate for Airflow and the comfort it brings to a hygiene appointment. Read more about Emily.
Airflow is an add-on to your usual hygiene visit, from £40, or £32 with a membership plan.
